Telltale CEO Dan Connors told VideoGamer that the chances of a new Day of the Tentacle entry are "Feasible...I always think of Sam & Max, Day of the Tentacle and Monkey Island as the big three [LucasArts] franchises...I really love Day of the Tentacle."
He went on to pitch a potential setting for the hypothetical Day of the Tentacle sequel, explaining "My ideas always get shot down, but I wanted to see, like a 32-year-old Hoagie, or Bernard, Hoagie and Laverne all grown up with jobs and what not. But we'll see if that gets any traction."
However, Connors was also quick to point out that "we're certainly not there yet on it," warning that any such revival of further LucasArts' properties would hinge on the on the success of the upcoming The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition re-release - which is set for PC and Xbox Live Arcade - and Telltale's five-part episodic continuation, Tales of Monkey Island which is set to come to PC and WiiWare.
The CEO was cautiously optimistic of the prospective project, "It all depends on how it goes. Hopefully it works out for both companies and it just is a no brainer to keep adding the franchises on."
