Australian sales charts, week ending 31/05/09

PALGN News | Games still sell during E3, you know. Especially if they feature Metallica, apparently.
After temporarily stepping aside as the top selling game in Australia, Wii Fit is back, moving up two slots to regain first place. Shocking. It's not the only fitness game at the top either, with EA's Sports Active holding on tightly to the second slot. Last week's champion, Pokemon Platinum, suffered a drop, but is still kicking around the charts in third. Wii Play gained a position to move into fourth, which almost certainly has nothing to do with the fact it comes bundled with a Wii remote.

The rest of the charts are rather odd, with only two taking up the last six places. Brawler UFC: Undisputed on the Xbox 360 moved up a place to take the fifth slot, while the PS3 version dropped to sixth place. The rest of the charts are dominated by Guitar Hero: Metallica - the standalone game at seven and eight, and the bundle at nine and ten, with the Xbox 360 version selling better than the PS3 equivalent.

The charts are updated weekly and are provided by those wonderful people at GfK.
