Latest UK Charts

PALGN News | Doom 3 stays top, but Olympic fever is tightening it's grip on the nation.
PALGN's snide comments about the British Olympic team and their medal prospects in Athens have backfired nastily this past week (turns out 'Team GB' is pretty nifty at this Olympics lark), meaning Sony probably owe them a thank you card for their efforts, which have seen Athens 2004 leap into the silver medal position. The PC's Doom 3 still stands tall at the top of the podium though, whilst (just to stretch our Olympic analogy as far as we possibly can) new entry Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow misses out on a medals finish, but still manages a respectable fourth.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay appears to have already peaked meanwhile after slipping from last week's fifth spot to this week's eighth, undeservedly making it the week's biggest faller in the Top 20. As if this weren't proof enough that the public know diddly-squat about decent videogames, Medal of Honor: Rising Sun has somehow found it's way back into the chart. Expect (re)appearances next week from EyeToy: Play (which is joining Sony's Platinum range from this coming Friday), Headhunter: Redemption and Sudeki. See you next week.

is there any way you can get approx. sales figures as well as positions? or is that asking too much?

and how about adding PC top 20 to the platform specific charts, seeing how the number 1 spot is a PC game...

Sales figures are tricky ot acquire, but I'll look into it.

As for the PC chart, PALGN is really a console and handheld site, and PC-exclusive games are a rarity in the Top 20 anyway. BUt I don't suppose it'd do any harm. icon_wink.gif
