POTW: Just in it for the multiplayer?

PALGN Feature | Multiple choice.
You may recall a couple of weeks ago we reported on an intriguing statistic from Xbox Live that thirty per cent of users do not touch the single-player campaign in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare at all, preferring just to stick to multiplayer.

It certainly created discussion in the forums about the merits of multiplayer thrills versus some serious solo fun and of course whether this particular stat was bogus or not. A number of PALGN members also predicted that this figure would apply to many other games as well.

As such we thought it'd be a good idea to run our own poll on the topic and see what's what. So this week we want to know - give us a straight yes or no - have you ever purchased a game and not played the single-player mode at all?

Hmmm... I think these statistics can be a little misleading. I have a few friends that create a new gametag every time they renew their gold membership on xbox live… So even though they have played through the single player campaign, their current gametag will only show them as having played multiplayer only.
Except it was just a question posed to people on the forum and had nothing to do with gamertags.
Actually the poll was in reference to the xbox live statistic, which would be based on gametags.
