Australian Gaming Bargains - 23/04/09

PALGN Feature | April closes quietly.
It’s very quiet across the board this week, with no new major sales or anything that’s going to knock your socks off. Regardless, Target seems to be the place to go as you can snap up the likes of Deadly Creatures and Wario Land: The Shake Dimension for just $49.95 each. Other sales items include Samba de Amigo, LEGO Indy and LEGO Star Wars on the Wii for just $39.95 each. Until next week, keep those wallets at the ready.

JB Hifi have started a clearance sale on PC games early. (it's supposed to start in May).
the only thing i know is a definite price, is Dead Space for $15, but otherwise it seemed a bit hit and miss as to what were good deals, and what weren't. there were a bunch of things for $20 though.

i don't know that there's a proper catalogue/listing anywhere though.

Hi Joseph, Toys R Us catalogue out today as well. As usual mainly kids stuff but a few good offers in there like PS3 dualshock controller + Platinum game for 89.99; wii remote + nunchuk for 69.99 and also Drawn To Life on DS is a good buy at 29.99 if any DS owners don't have it already.

At JB on Bourke St Melbourne, Dead Space was marked as $30 - I didnt take it to the counter though so it could have come up different.

There weren't any other great bargains as far as I could see though.

Final Fantasy XII: Davenant Wings (should be Revenant Wings).

Found out about a great online store in the uk, www.365games.co.uk. Picked up Patapon 2 for $14, Valkyria Chronicles for $50, Persona 4 $35 and The Orange Box on PC for $30. Would be cool if PalGN had another bargins list for online sites like PlayAsia, I'm always finding ridiculous bargins on there (Sealed Shenmue for US$9.90 down from $59.90 is stupid).
On topic I will finally pick up Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings at that price.

I got FF: RW for $20 at dick smith liverpool today - but on topic - does Target seriously value the pokemon guide at $45?

Because there was no official listing I chose not to include it in the article. However, given the response in the forums I'll add a note concerning the sale.

There's no new catalogue (to my knowledge anyway). They'll probably start a sale in the next week or two.

And for anyone wondering why there aren't any JB listings, they're taking a break for a week. There will be a new catalogue next week.

Okay folks, I will update everything right away.... (/me sighs)

Because it's an online only price to try and get more sales for their internet store.
