LEGO Harry Potter, Indy 2 on the way

PALGN News | Traveller's Tales staffer spills the beans via CV
According to a report from , GamesIndustry.biz , an animator for developer Traveller's Tales - the makers behind the successful LEGO franchise of titles, has revealed what's currently in production for the LEGO lineup.

The two new LEGO titles were inadvertently revealed via an online Curriculum Vitae of Charlotte Parker which stated that she was currently at work on LEGO Harry Potter and LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, both of which are in the early stages of production.

Parker subsequently confirmed the story with VG247 via telephone conversation, stating that the details were correct, but “they’re not confirmed. I can’t really talk about them.”

Neither game is yet to be officially announced.

LEGO Harry Potter was a no brainer really. LEGO Indy 2 is meh for me. I'll wait and see. I still need to watch the fourth Indy film. icon_razz.gif

The film wasn't anything special so how can they make a fully fledged Lego game out of this, considering their previous efforts were a compendium of films?

I'll pass.

I'm wondering if Lego Harry Potter will be based more on the films or the books. Because if it's based on the movies it may only have the books that have been made into films but if it's based on the books it would hopefully have all 7 books.

Lego Harry Potter is going to be awesome, I hope they do base it on all of the stories though.. I hated how they made Lego Star Wars 1 and 2 and then combined them at a later date.

I have the lego star wars saga on the PS3 and am certainly looking to add to the colection. Any ideas what sort of prices the Indy and Batman games are selling for on the PS3. As far as i'm concerned worth the $50-$60 mark and not much more.

Lego Harry Potter would be awesome! I'd have a ball, no doubt.

I don't care what anyone says, I love the LEGO games. I'm a little disappointed about the new Indy game. I think if they wanted more Indy they could have based it on the young Indiana Jones series... or better yet, just included KOTCS in the first Indy game and not make another.

Harry Potter could be cool. As long as they are combining a few books in each game, I don't want to be expected to buy like 7 different Harry Potter LEGO games!

I hope they change it, I got a bit bored with Lego Batman, and definitely wouldn't buy it. I have played them all, and if they don't change it enough to be new and fresh, I won't buy them.

Harry Potter would be good. The first game could have the first four movies with a big cliffhanger after the Triwizard Tournament set to go into crunchtime for Harry & friends.

Now all we need is LEGO Ghostbusters and LEGO Back to the Future icon_smile.gif

The Harry Potter one would, in my eyes, definitely be at least a different to the previous games. In Harry Potter guns are not prevalent, also the story doesn't really lend itself to having swarms of enemies (most of the time) and the inclusion of lots of magic spells that could be used would be awesome.

^Yeah, I didn't think of that. If done right, the Harry Potter one could be drastically different. Can't wait to see how it turns out, would be cool if you had a lot of spells at your disposal.

I have my doubts about Lego Harry tbh. I can see Accio simply replacing the Force and whip of the previous games, and swarms of enemies could easily appear in the form of enemy students/Slytherins. I can just see them replacing melee attacks with spells, so when you press the attack button, instead of punching, Harry fires Stupefy. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for TT to prove me wrong, but I've played every Lego game released so far, and the differences have been pretty minimal. Lego Batman was a small step in the right direction with the different suits however.

I want my Lego Matrix! icon_razz.gif
