Army of Two: The 40th Day officially confirmed

PALGN News | Shoot things in Shanghai.
EA has completely and officially confirmed that a sequel to co-op blaster Army of Two is on the way.

Subtitled The 40th Day, players will once again take control of Rios and Salem as they blast their way through Shanghai, which is under siege at the hands of a 'disaster of epic proportions'. Apparently, a series of horrible events has brought the city to its knees - naturally, it's up to the player to make things all shiny and happy again, as well as uncover the secret of the 40th Day.

This sequel looks to be straight from the bigger, badder, better school of thought, with more customisable weapons, more co-operative moves and more destruction. EA also seems to think that the experience will be very 'organic', too. Whatever that means.

Army of Two: The 40th Day is looking set for a Christmas release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PSP.

Oh god, please no.

Two men prancing around in masks with diamond studded guns groping each other occasionally is not fun. Please, please do not subject us to this again.

I actually liked the first game a lot - !!
Hope this one has a longer campaign though ...

I loved Ao2 and the silly fun it represented. The attention/focus drawing was a cool innovation and played coop with a friend was more enjoyable than other technically superior titles. Agree with Shiraj that it was a bit short.

dont worry there is a solution for you.
Dont Buy It.

i loved the first, but only complaint is it was too short.
played through the whole game in co-op with my mate, would love to do that again.
the sniping together was great, so hopefully more of that and more dragging the partner when he is shot and let him shoot while he is being dragged.

Apparently they're trying to adress all the "Ambigously Gay Duo" ellements of the first.

I haven't played the first but have been interested in it for a while, from what I've read of the second it looks cool.
