This Week's Releases - 16/2/09

PALGN Feature | Fighting for eternal justice.

This week, arcade classic Street Fighter returns with a fourth instalment on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. New characters making their series debut include Crimson Viper, Abel and El Fuerte, with, of course, many familiar faces returning. Street Fighter IV retains many of the series' signature features, while incorporating new elements such as 3D environments and characters. Fans can purchase the standard version of the game, or the Collector's Edition which includes two figurines, a Street Fighter anime movie and mini strategy guide. Street Fighter IV battles its way onto store shelves this Thursday.

There's even more in store (pun intended) for PlayStation 3 gamers, with Japanese role-playing game Eternal Sonata making its way onto Sony's console. Disgaea: Absence of Justice also makes its way to PAL shores this week, landing in the PS3's new release section on Thursday. Xbox 360 owners aren't left out in the dark, with the exclusive downloadable content for Grand Theft Auto IV, titled The Lost & Damned, hitting Xbox LIVE on Tuesday (wander over here to read our fully sick preview).

Strategy fans will be pleased to know that the wait for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II on PC is finally over, trigger-happy gamers can survive the Zombie invasion in House of the Dead: Overkill on Wii, and finally, the fifth chapter in the Dragon Quest series, Hand of the Heavenly Bride, is released on Nintendo DS.

Damn you next week lol.I REALLY didn't want to buy a game till RE5 but I REALLY want SEGA Mega Drive Ultimate Collection.

Quite funny really, I can totally (and am going to) wait a few months before I buy KZ2 but I MUST buy SMD straight away.

I read something about 2Gb BUT this wasnt from Rockstar, was just on the xbox.com forums.

Suspect it will be somewhere between 1 & 2 Gb.... No new areas but new vehices, voice, radio, missions etc will take up a fair amount of room.

I picked up Street Fighter 4 today from JB Hi Fi! I didn't think it was coming out till later in the week, but no complaints here! It's awesome!!

Lost and the Damned came out today saw it at GAME.

Does anyone else feel ripped off about this Megadrive Collection? Cuz i've already bought the thing over 2 years ago and here it is again but 40 games instead of the original 20? Wtf?! Are these 40 new games then? Uhh nope! 20 of the ones you've already bought and 20 new ones, but you can't have new without the old so you will need to pay for ALL! **** piece of **** *****! This should be Megadrive Collection 2 (like Capcom Classics Collection Vol 2.) cuz i've already bought Collection 1! This is how you rip people off and i'm not buying this **** even though I want it REAL BAD!! Actually i'll have to see the price on it cuz if it's under $50 then I don't mind paying for that cuz I paid $50 for the original and this way it seems like i'm only gonna be paying $50 for another 20 games but if this **** is $100 or a penny more than $50 it's **** and it can **** off!

Just wondering....has anyone seen any Wiimotes around? Checked at 3 places today and they were all sold out so I couldn't be bothered looking around and figured Nintendo must be slack with supply again. Seriously they give me the **** so hard, but I really want 2 wiimotes for some House of The Dead: Overkill Co-op action this week.

Also what is the cheapest deal on DS: Lite anyone has seen? I would prefer just the machine and no pack in games and that crap cuz i've had one before but I sold it and need to get another one for the new Castlevania.
