Konami announced today that PS2 stealth-me-do Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater would be given it's first ever public showing at this year's German Game Convention, to be held in Leipzig, Germany from 19th - 22nd August 2004. The game - which is pencilled in for a PAL release in late 2004 - was shown at E3 in May, yet the proposed appearance of the hotly-anticipated title at 'GC 2004' represents the first time the public will be able to see Konami's game first hand.
Reports have also confirmed that series creator Hideo Kojima will be on hand to conduct various interviews and press conferences, and we presume he'll also be demonstrating the game, which Kojima-san himself is directing. Konami also confirmed that two other high-profile titles, Pro Evolution Soccer 4 (PS2/Xbox/PC) and Silent Hill 4 (PS2/Xbox), would be present and playable, alongside a cornucopia of the company's Dancing Stage titles.
The announcement follows Friday's news that Ubisoft's eagerly awaited Prince of Persia 2 would be making it's worldwide playable debut in London (catch it at September's Gamestars Live), and is yet another example of how European trade shows and events continue to attract some of the biggest games about. Check back next month for news on MGS3's first ever public showing.
