Fallout 3 patch coming

PALGN News | Patch for all three platforms in the works now.
Quick news over at Gaming blog Qj.net with Bethesda currently planning a patch for all versions of Fallout 3; hopefully planned to resolve complaints by some players with reports of serious bugs and graphical glitches.

Posted on the Bethesda official forums, a community manager said "We are currently working on a patch for all three platforms. When I've got more details, I'll let everyone know." Not much to go on, but the knowledge that it's indeed in the works now should hopefully mean the wait won't be much longer.

A lot of people don't seem to understand hacking, so here is a little guide written by yours truly, just for you!

I only hope that there will be a way to resurrect some of the poor NPC's of Megaton who in my game seemed to be so upset with the bugs that they decided to take up terminal base jumping.

ive had no bugs either. except for once time i fell down some rocks and landed wedged between the rocks and a branch so i just fast travelled to the next area to get out of it. besides that im loving it and havent had any problems.

i am still pretty bad at it though.

I've ot the PC version and I've had crap loads of bugs.

I've had the game shat itself and stop working before it's even started, I've had it BSOD when I've quit the game throug it's own menu, I've had it stop working and fail whilst randomly walking around or jumping over fences and lots of stuff like this.

BSOD would be a graphics driver error, not really the fault of the game.

Good news!
It appears that modding tools and DLC are on the way very soon (modding to come in December, the DLC slated for January plus the 2 successive months).

The only real problem I've had is that DogMeat disappears now and again. But that's fixed by fast travelling.

The only 'bug' I would really, REALLY, like fixed is the level 20 cap! Level 20?! Jeeez, what were they thinking?!(drinking)?!
One of the things that makes an RPG an RPG is character development, but when your character stops levelling, and therefore developing, the game stops being an RPG and becomes something else.

Design Decision =/= Bug, no matter how much you dislike that decision.

Not that I've been able to play enough of the game to reach that point, but from what I understand by the time you reach lv.20 your character is generally leaning towards the overpowered side (unless outright munchkin'd from the beginning, which would mean your character would be some kind of ubermench.) and so being able to progress further would be a touch pointless.
Given the sheer size of the game it seems like a choice made to encourage multiple playthroughs.

As I said though, I haven't been able to get to that point myself yet thanks to a crashing bug I can't shake, so that's just speculation.
