Australian sales charts, week ending 05/10/08

PALGN News | FIFA is back.
Another week, another top spot for the exercise juggernaut that is Wii Fit. It's getting a bit ridiculous, really - at this rate, we wonder if even any of the Christmas blockbusters will be able to knock it out of top spot for more than a week. One of the first, soccer sim FIFA 2009, was unable to achieve it, with the PlayStation 3 version debuting in second place. This knocked Wii Play down to third place, where it seems to be incredibly comfortable. The next two slots sees two other versions of FIFA 2009 make their debut - the Xbox 360 one at four, and the PS2 game at five.

Mario Kart Wii was driving defensively this week, managing to hold onto the sixth place that it snared last week. WALL-E, a PS2 game adaption of the epic Pixar film of the same name, continued to slowly creep up the charts, moving up two places to seven. Slipping three places to close the week at eight was karaoke fun times in the form of Singstar: Hottest Hits, while Nintendo DS mind melter Brain Training made its thousandth re-entry into the charts in ninth place. At ten is Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on the Xbox 360, dropping a staggering 9 places in two weeks, while the other console versions are gone from the top ten. Ouch.

The charts are updated weekly and are provided by those wonderful people at GfK.
