The figures come from the new montly Top Global Markets Report, which compiles Japanese, European and American sales data from companies Enterbrain, NPD, ChartTrack and GfK, so says GamesIndustry.biz.
Grand Theft Auto IV sold a whopping 6,293,000 copies world wide - 4.71 million in the US alone. Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Brawl was the next best, shifting 5,433,000 units across the regions, with Mario Kart Wii almost a million units behind at 4,687,000 copies sold.
The worldwide craze that is Wii Fit managed to sell 3,604,000 copies across the region. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock moved similar numbers, with 3,475,000 units sold.
