Australian sales charts, week ending 17/10/08
PALGN News | Australia likes Nintendo games.

It's rather fitting that the number one for the duration of the Olympics has been Nintendo's Wii Fit, enjoying continued success months after its original release. It's been hotly pursued by the DS version of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games - Sega must enjoy rolling around in the large wads of cash this game has brought in. Wii Play and its built in Wii Remote came in at three, dropping one slot from last week. Continuing the Nintendo theme is Mario Kart Wii, proving to have incredible staying power. Making a late chart re-entry is LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga for the Wii at five.
Continuing to brawl its way up and down the charts is Super Smash Bros. Brawl, down two slots from last week. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games for the Wii suffered a surprising drop of four places to close the week at seven. The now-ancient Brain Training fell one spot, but is still doing rather well to finish the week in eighth place. The last two positions are both occupied by Beijing Olympics 2008, with the PS3 version coming in at nine and the 360 incarnation at ten.
