This Week's Releases - 19/5/08

PALGN Feature | The future is hazy.
This week, Ubisoft's exclusive PlayStation 3 first-person shooter Haze hits shelves. Set in the year 2048, you fight for a private military corporation against a group of deadly rebels. However, things quickly become hazy and players find themselves switching factions. In Haze, you fight on foot and in vehicles, and enhance your battlefield performance with a drug known as Nectar.

Command and Conquer fans can get their hands on the Tiberium Wars expansion, Kane's Wrath. The game, available on the Xbox 360 and PC, features a brand new campaign with Kane at centre of the conflict.

Battle of the Bands, the latest music themed titled from THQ, is released this Thursday on the Nintendo Wii. For the lowdown on game, head over to our preview.

Finally, PlayStation 2 owners can play Silent Hill: Origins, which was released last year on the PlayStation Portable, and those with a Nintendo DS can become a lawyer in Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice.

Very unsure about haze. Despite GTA providing me with enough gaming to last me for an eternity, Haze could be a nice mix-up. I will only go for it if the single-player campaign is a decent length, 10ish hours would be nice, and the story is engaging.

Its hard to see it possibly taking the mantle from my online COD 4 time and with metal gear online providing me with much intrigue, i need the single player campaign to be nothing short of brilliant. Here's hoping it delivers.

I think it's absolutely stupid of Nintendo Aus to release Apollo Justice before the third Pheonix Wright.

Of course I picked mine up off Play-Asia so I can finish off the thrilogy and the fact that it was cheaper helped cement my opinion.

EDIT: stupid enter key...
