It's still a long way off though. The project has only just gotten underway, with no mention of platforms or even a title at this early stage. The creator of the worm, Doug TenNapel, will be working on the project as a creative consultant to make sure the game stays true to the series. In addition to a game, there is also work planned on an animated feature.
Jim was a smash hit in the 90s, with two games for the Super Nintendo and Mega Drive, as well as less successful sequels on the Game Boy Colour and Nintendo 64. There was also an animated series.
If you're not familiar the series, Jim was just an ordinary earthworm until a space suit fell from the sky and landed on him, giving him some rather super abilities. The series was famous for its incredibly warped sense of humour.
