This Week's Releases - 21/4/08

PALGN Feature | The Mario game wii've been waiting for finally arrives.
Mario Kart Wii, one of the most anticipated games of the year, races onto shelves this Thursday. The latest version in the franchise features new characters, a heap of new vehicles (including motorbikes), and a number of new and revamped tracks. Players will also be able to compete online against a maximum of 12 other people via a Wi-Fi connection. Mario Kart Wii comes bundled with the Wii Wheel, but supports other setups such as the Classic Controller and GameCube Controller.

Fans of arcade games can get their hands on the PlayStation 3 Time Crisis 4 bundle, which includes the 'G-Con 3' gun controller. In the game, players become an elite solider tasked with preventing terrorists from getting their hands on classified weaponry. The latest title in the classic shooter series supports arcade gameplay in high definition and, in a first for the series, first-person shooter mode. The Time Crisis 4 bundle comes at the suggested retail price of $139.95.

Can anyone confirm if The World Ends With You for the DS is actually coming out this week?

Yeah, Japan definitely got the better gun.

On the upside, the Japanese version of Time Crisis 3 comes with an english dub.
(Downside being the option to change from Japanese to english is hidden in a Japanese menu) icon_rolleyes.gif

Really Mario Kart on Wii? It seemed like only a few months ago I first heard about this game and it's already out before Super Smash Bros: Brawl? Craziness!

Anyways i'm getting that for sure, should keep my mates and I busy till GTAIV.

I forgot it was also wired, if it wasn't I would probably import the jap version. Who the hell makes a wired peripheral these days, there's no excuse not to go wireless on PS3.
