New Tomb Raider: Underworld screens emerge

PALGN News | Lara Croft in all of her hi-res glory.
While some of these screens hit the internet before Christmas, this latest batch of screens from Tomb Raider Underworld are now available in all of their high-resolution glory thanks to the technical wizardry of the development team at Crystal Dynamics.

The pick of the bunch being a screenshot that shows a dripping-wet Lara contemplating her next move by a tomb that looks ripe for a raiding. If these screens are anything to go by, Lara's next adventure looks to be shaping up pretty well.

Tomb Raider Underworld is slated for release later this year.

Crystal Dynamics are doing all the right things with the franchise. Im yet to play Anniversary, but Legend was fantastic and im no Tomb Raider fan!

Anniversary was very well done. I am yet to finish it and to fully play Legend as well. I'm hoping that the success of these new games will convince Paramount Pictures to do a third film, preferrably with a story and script better than the previous entries and enough to convince Angelina to reprise the role.

This seems to be one of those games that looks better in motion. In screenshots it doesn't look much better than Legend did, but once they release a trailer I'm sure it'll look all next-genny. DMC4 doesn't impress much stationary, but it's sex on legs in motion.

I'm always up for more Tomb Raider, especially if it's the geniuses behind Legend at the wheel. I should track down Anniversary.
