Australian sales charts, week ending 20/01/07

PALGN News | Shuffle shuffle shuffle.
In a week where a lot changed, there was one constant. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games has retained its number one position, which it managed to wrestle back last week. Continuing to be a stunning success is The Simpsons Game on the Nintendo DS, pushing back up a slot to close the week at two. Singstar R n' B is back in the charts - shock horror - at a very healthy third place. At four at five are two unrelenting DS heavyweights in New Super Mario Bros. and Brain Training, which are continuing to sell through the roof, despite being older than dirt.

It's the second appearance of Singstar at six, this one being the, uh, delightful Pop Hits. Falling hard is Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare, down five places from last week's finish. It's no surprise to see Sight Training in the charts - but it is a bit strange that it only managed an eight spot. Expect to see this one climb in the coming weeks. Assassin's Creed fell four spots to close at nine, as another Singstar game, Rock Ballads, rounds out the top ten.

The charts are updated weekly and are provided by GfK.
